Nightmares can come true! Mortal Kombat new DLC: FREDDY KRUEGER

There really isn’t much to say about this except “FUCKIN COOL.” I’ve always been a fan of fighting games that throw in characters from different franchises, i.e Yoda in Soul Caliber, Darth Vader, Kratos etc. With that being said, feast your eyes on one of the coolest DLCs of this year. (fingers crossed for Jason)

The global addiction to the repetitious smart phone game “Angry Birds” received a decayed flesh make over by a man who’s name is harder to pronounce then Sam Steroids from Supernatural. Tomasz Kaczkowski, lives and works in Wroclaw, Poland.

Tomasz graduated from Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz where is specialized in textiles and received his Diploma on carpets collection – Injured Batman and burning planes. Tomasz refers to his art as a “discussion to the grotesque and the poisons of today’s world,” and with that said, here are his Angry Bird Zombie renditions. “CALL OF THE DEAD” Call of Duty and George Romero Team up

Call of Duty has monopolized on the first person shooter genre, topping sales and breaking records all over the world. They have also found an excellent niche in the horror gaming category with the forever evolving “Nazi Zombies” and “Zombies” horde game modes. However, with the increasing popularity of the zombie games, they have officially made the highest echelon of game add-ons,”Call of the DEAD,”which is part of the new DLC “escalation” maps.

“Call of the DEAD,” which is inspired by the “godfather of Zombies” ‘George Romero’ is another extremely interactive zombie horde level. The trailer shows that it takes place on a ship that seems to be abandoned on an Ice tundra, which means we’ll be getting some frozen zombie action, with brand new killer weapons and sick player interactions.

The Trailer for “Call of the DEAD” is done in the vain of a grindhouse trailer, with a deep cheap voice-over, still frames, really bad catch phrases, grainy film reel effect, and the “Return of the Living Dead” famous “do you wanna party” song. Everything a horror fan would want to see in a game trailer. It also stars a brand new assortment of characters, Danny Trejo (machete), Sarah Michelle Gellar (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Robert Englund (Freddy Kruger) and Michael Rooker (The Walking Dead). And also starring, as a boss, GEORGE ROMERO!

This Game has “COOL” written all over it.

MK Legacy Baraka looks like Lord of the Rings rip!

The new Baracka from the Mortal Kombat Legacy webseries looks more like something that crawled from the pits of Mordor. How disappointing.

MORTAL KOMBAT LEGACY REVIEW

The Mortal Kombat Legacy Webseries premiered its first episode “legacy:episode 1,” and the anticipation is well worth the outcome. This is what millions of MK fans envisioned the actual franchise to look and feel like, instead of the high color contrast nonsense that the previous films offered us.

“Legacy” has a combination of different feels to it, similar to the realistic interpretation that Christopher Nolan gave the recently Batman Films, and also a realistic crime drama feel like “the Sheild,” of course also by keeping the imaginative qualities of the MK world.

The Episode starts off with the origin story of Kano (Darren Shahlavi), Jax (Michael Jai White), Stryker (Tamoh Pennikett), and Sonya Blade (Jeri Ryan). It takes place in a weapons factory where Kano, who doesn’t have his red eye metallic implant yet, is manufacturing advanced weaponry. You briefly see what looks to be “Cyrax’s” helmet, and weapon technology that is similar to the Cybernetic characters of MK. After a couple action sequences, the audience is left with the need to see more. The only thing that was missing from the first episode, was the gore and horror element that director Kevin Tancharoen emphasized in the MK “Rebirth” trailer. (below) Which I’m sure will only be revealed when the relevant character is shown.

We can only hope now that we get a chance to see other popular characters. The real difficult objective is, how do you make Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Reptile, or even Goro, a part of this MK world? Will it be done as effectively as in the “Rebirth” trailer, will it be something that jeopardizes the show? Or will Kevin make it so flawlessly integrated (again) that we wont even second-guess them. We will have to wait and see.

The Mortal Kombat webseries will be streaming online every Tuesday. Watch the entire first episode and the “Rebirth” trailer that started it all below. As well as the first stills of SUB ZERO and SCORPION.
